Yes and no.: Tuberculous lymph nodes should shrink with successful treatment, but maybe not all the way to normal size.  Lung scarring would not be caused by "extra pulmonary" tb, but there have been pulmonary TB first that scarred or some other lung process.

Pulmonary TB: Which is the most common form causes cough, sputum production sometimes with blood, night sweats and weight loss.  It is diagnosed by chest  x-ray and sputum exam and culture.  Extra pulmonary TB such as in the kidney, bone or nervous system will cause symptoms related to the organ involved but renal TB may be remarkably silent until late in the disease.

Active disease?: The presence of acid fast bacilli means that there is active disease requiring treatment. Three negative good sample sputums are necessary to assure cure for  mycobacteria ( tuberculosis in this case). Acid fast staining is a simple way to detect the mycobacteria.

Recurrent yeast: infections can be seen in diabetes, but are more common with poor female hygiene, infected sexual partner, etc. Doubt you have diabetes and certainly not tb.

dear all, few days ago i did xray, then dr told me that do ct scan and m-t skin test for tuberculosis. now the mt test is negative but ct scan show sign of tb. which one is correct, would you please guide me, what should we do???????

: Follow up will be needed with the doc who conducted your workup in trying to put together above findings with your current symptoms and physical exam/ lungs that might be the decider if tb treatment is needed.
