Scar tissue: Usually extra skin growing around the anus is scar tissue that results from a fissure in ano. If you had a painful tear with persistant pain and bleeding with bowel movements this would be the result.

Sounds: like you are describing an anal "tag" (a remnant left over from a hemorrhoid) however you should get this checked out since  genital WARTS (HPV) l should be excluded!!! Hope this is helpful!

Skin tag: This is a very typical area of the body to grow what is called "skin tags".  These are growths that are benign, they never turn bad.  The only time you have to take them off is if they start bothering you.

Could be...: If you find that area to be painful there is a good chance it is a tiny hemorrhoid. Try sitz baths daily with ice/cool packs.  If no better see you family doc for an exam.  Enjoy your baby!

can you get excess mucus from your anus with colitis ? and im talking a lot of mucus with blood sometimes. without stools and its clear but tan sumtime
