Sinus/Pulm: You may have a bacterial infection of the sinuses and airway passages. Rinse your nose with saline, use cool air mist, monitor for fever, rest and drink fluids. Please see your PCP for a possible course of antibiotics.

Recheck: you will need stonger antibiotcs and cough suppresant; however, some viral infections can last 2-3 weeks and will not respond to antibiotics. Tea/honey,benzoate perles,guiafenisen with dextromethophan cough mediciation.

Many possibilities: A prolonged dry cough could be something as simple as irritation after a viral upper respiratory infection. Viral or sinus: This is likely from a viral infection. If the problem has been present for more than 10 days and is getting worse, then sinus infection should be considered.    See your doctor if the latter is the case.
