Diabetes in the USA: Regrettably increasing almost daily. There are many reasons, not the least of which is underlying obesity, lack of work options, good foods too expensive, limited exercise, .. The problem keeps growing.

More and more common: There is a huge increase in type 2 diabetes because of increasing obesity across the population especially in children.

Complications: See your physicians to learn about the complications of poorly controlled diabetes.  The more you know, the more ( hopefully) you will try to change.  Diabetes is the number one cause for blindness, being on dialysis and amputations.  No one wants to go through life on crutches, being on dialysis and blind.

Immunocompromised: body is busy dealing with diabetes, not as much resiliancy remaining to fight viral symptoms, and subsequent opportunistic infections

Definitely: Risk increases with age, positive family history and is 70-90% related to obesity. If you're overweight, begin a program of diet, exercise and weight loss. Check w/your doctor and look at diabetes.Org.

Diabetes: Endometriosis is not related to diabetes.  If you have symptoms from diabetes it is typically  fatigue, frequent urination, sometimes a sugar odor to urine, nausea.  The best test is a fasting glucose level (blood test) and/or hemoglobin A1C (also blood test)

No: Closer and closer, but not definitively cured as yet. Cell transplants most promising, + stem cell work, but not as yet ready for prime time. Dr. A. Vinick (and many other researcher-endocrinologists) committed to cure w/in their careers.

Varies: Signs of diabetes are: frequent urination, thirst, blurry vision,  hunger, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, frequent infections, wounds that heal slowly, tingling in hands or feet, or you can have no symptoms at all.
