No: Nothing similar is available over the counter. There are different medications available besides viagra, (sildenafil) but they are not cheap either.

Cholesterol: Cholesterol can clog the small arteries of the penis as well as your heart arteries. You may need to use meds to increase flow to your penis like viagra, Cialis or levitra (vardenafil).

NO: But it can be treated. You would be well advised to stop smoking immediately which will immediately reduce your carbon monoxide levels and improve oxygenation to your vital tissues. Alcohol use also greatly exacerbates ed and you should avoid it when you're sexually active.

No it doesn't: Some anti=hypertensive medications can cause erectile dysfunction, but not all of them. Advanced kidney dysfunction can also be responsible for ed. Would first discuss it with your nephrologist or physician managing your hypertension. Then see a urologist if necessary. Good luck.

It can: Yes, it can contribute but you should first see your doctor to rule out medical causes of ED, then address it's psychological consequences.  Many medical conditions can be otherwise asymptomatic and yet cause ED as can many medications.  You can most certainly be treated and regain normal sexual functioning along with return of your confidence.

i went to see a gp and they prescribed cialis 5mg, it worked

i want to know if there isn't a way that i can sort this ed out, or should i continue with cialis?

Yes: First and foremost stop smoking pot for few weeks. If the problem persists, see your GP for workup as ED at your age should be further worked up if not due to substance use. It comes down to priorities, it would not make lots of sense to use a drug to counter the effects of another.

No: Erectile dysfunction (ed) is not painful. It is simply the inability to obtain or maintain an erection sufficient enough for sexual intercourse. There is a condition called peyronie's which is scarring of the chambers of the penis which can lead to bending or curvature of the penis and this can be painful but it is a seperate condition from ed.

Not an easy answer: Erectile dysfunction can have many causes.
Many of our treatments address the symptom and not the cause.
As i tell my patients "the penis is the barameter of the health of the vascular system"
unfortunately many health care providers(hcp) do not make that connection.
You shoul consult a hcp that sepecializes in andrology.

Time to see a doctor: To assess if a person's erections have weakened, he should visit a primary doctor, who can check for possible causes: stress, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, low testosterone, artery disease, high cholesterol, smoking, older age, etc... Causes found can be treated to help make erections stronger, firmer, longer lasting. For a guy in his 20's, a psychologist and urologist may also help.
