A little different: COPD is due either to obstruction and excessive secretions from the smaller bronchioles. Whereas bronchiectasis is due to weakness of terminal bronchioles causing secretions to stagnate and get infected. It produces copious amounts of purulent secretions. Treatment may be similar in both conditions.

Complicated: Bronchiectasis is due to chronic infection damaging the ends of bronchioles and creating a haven for chronic infection. Asthma is due to reactive airway disease making it difficult to get air out. COPD is a complex process and can involve emphysema and brochiectasis. See your doctor to figure out why you are coughing. Without more info cannot diagnose this.

High pulse rate: or tachycardia could be caused by Albuterol inhalation.  If so, you may change this to Ipratropium    and/or inhaled steroids.  Please   discuss with your provider the side effects of your medications.

Not neccesary: But if you have significant gastric reflux it can cause sorethroat & can cause damage to your lungs even fibrosis & bronchiectasis. Get evaluated.

Yes: Exercise is very beneficial to patients with copd/emphysema.  Exercising can be done on oxygen as long as your oxygen saturations are greater than 88 percent.

No: Emphysema is, by definition, a disease characterized by irreversible damage to the lungs.  However, there are all degrees of emphysema and the goal of therapy is to ameliorate symptoms, treat complications,  and prevent or slow progression.

Smoking Cessation: The most important thing is to stop the cause, which in the vast majority of cases is smoking-related.  Thereafter, treatment focuses on keeping the airways open with medications.  There is less room in the lungs (even though they're bigger) for gas exchange, so many of these patients require supplemental oxygen.

Possibilities...: Most of the time, COPD is caused by smoking, if you are a non-smoker, there are environmental exposures that can contribute so what type of work you do may be relevant. There is also a form of COPD, alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency, which is caused by an enzyme deficiency. This can be diagnosed via a blood test and the enzyme can be replaced so the disease won't progress further.
