Many ways: Be certain there well-nourished and in stable health before the procedure. Informed the surgeon of all medications being taken orally.  After surgery keep the diet liquid or one that can be swallowed without chewing for five days.  No smoking.  Lightly brush and thoroughly rinse surgery area with a disinfectant.  Follow all instructions of the surgeon.  Add probiotic bacteria  like kefir yogurt.

You need to confer with the doctor who is prescribing the drug &amp; go over all of the risks &amp; benefits of Seroquel (quetiapine) which also include metabolic, cardiovascular &amp; an epidemiological increased risk of death in elderly users.

Orofacial dyskinesia: No. All medication, including benztropine comes with a additional risk of even more side effects. It has been difficult to eradicate these movements after administration of many medications, including antipsychotics and some GI meds. And they often persist despite discontinuation of the meds. While annoying and often frightening to the uninformed, they are rarely of clinical signficance.

Oral dyskinesia: Anti-psychotic drugs can lead to tardive dyskinesias in many, but newer drugs such as quetiapine do this far less commonly.  If the pt has dentures, and ill-fitting, could be a very benign problem called denture dyskinesia.  Several other disorders can cause facial movements.  A neurologist skilled in movement disorders can pinpoint the cause and treat successfully.
