Colonization: You probably have colonization with MRSA rather than an active infection. MRSA could cause a real infection if you were get a skin wound. You could also transmit MRSA to people around you.

Eczema: Eczema is unusual on your penis. Consult your dermatologist for a correct diagnosis. You could use 1% Hydrocortisone cream that is over the counter to treat eczema, but that would make fungus worse.(even though it would seem to get better).  Also it is better not to treat it before seeing a dermatologist so that the diagnosis can be established without the confusion of prior therapy.

Use properly: Recently (1/2006) the fda placed a “black box” warning on these drugs. Both the american academy of allergy, asthma and immunology and the american academy of dermatology feel that this was an unfortunate and unnecessary decision, as these drugs are very safe when used properly.

Eczema in children: Eczema is a common skin problem in children. Many factors can contribute to its pathologies such as skin barrier, allergic diseases, infections... Depending on the severity of eczema, you might or might not need to bring your child to see experts in the field. For mild symptoms, keep her skin moist by using skin lotion many times a day and avoiding irritant like strong soap would help.

ECZEMA: Eczema care begins in infancy. Babies develop eczema from  food allergy. So it is introduce one by one to know the allergen. As the child grow up, there are environmental triggers that cause eczema.The moisturizers help the skin before applying steroid cream.Oatmeal baths are helpful.Allergy specialist can advise, do intradermal tests and shots to help pinpoint triggers.

Depends on severity: Eczema is the result of dry skin. Dry skin itches leading to scratching & an endless cycle of itching & scratching resulting in skin damage. Because the skin barrier is compromised you can rehydrate the skin by soaking in a warm tub. Soap not needed. Immediately after bathing trap the moisture in the skin with vaseline, ointments or creams. Avoid lotions. Tougher cases need steroids & antibiotics.

Many but disguraing: There are many treatments for the symptoms of eczema but unfortunately no cure.  This makes eczema an extremely frustrating disease.  Some treatments that work well and last longer than the typical treatments are narrow band uvb, biologics and some oral medicines like cyclosporin.  Theses have to all be prescribed by a dermatologist.  I wish i had better news for you.

Hard to say: The type &amp; seriousness of eczema varies from case to case. There are a number of steroid creams/lotions,non-steroid creams and skin care plans used by dermatologists depending on the needs. The steroid creams come in varying strengths and bathing/skin care plans are helpful. A visit with your doc or a dermatologist to get a written skin plan may be your best plan.
