Get diagnosed: Get diagosed by a physician. It could be due to sinus inflamation, excessive tension, stress, etc. Good luck.

Tension Headache: If the area of the skin is tender to the touch, then there is a muscle contraction underneath.  This is a tension headache.  Any headache can trigger a vascular headache or migraine.

left temple very slightly sore to press, and better than a few days ago,but still there with no other symptoms,  should i worry?

Improving: It is good sign that it is improving!  Did you have trauma?  Monitor and see if it completely resolved for it appears you are getting better

Migraine Pain: The persistence of pain after a migraine varies with the severity of the headache. Having symptoms for three days would not be common, but not rare. Some people can have multiple migraines with continuous discomfort. Consultation with your primary care or neurologist to discuss possible changes in medication is  indicated if the headache pattern is changing.

Temporal arteritis?: Until proved otherwise. It can happen at your age. I suspect there is a different explanation, but a visit to your physician is in order. The tenderness and the pain on chewing ("jaw claudication") will be familiar to all healthtap physicians as warnings.

Imaging recommended: A simple bruising should have resolved by now. It is important to get imaging such as X Rays done to rule out a depressed skull fracture. See a doctor who can examine and decide if this is needed

Possibly: These symptoms are common when you're stressed.  Less commonly the temporal artery might be inflamed.  If the tederness persists beyond a day or two, see your family doctor.

Prob superficial: The tenderness to this area and mild headache suggest the injury is primarily superficial- it does not sound like there is anything to worry about.
