gp diagnosed alcohol neuropathy 3 wks ago by call.had withdrawal. worried anxiety is mimicking the tingling in feet now.on sunday a&e doc did strength,touch,reflex tests,heart trace.sugar level.said pyhsically fit. anxiety the cause.suffer badly?

Maybe not: With all those in-person tests being normal, risk of peripheral neuropathy is pretty low.  Can’t tell for sure without a more careful exam by a Neurologist.  Check with one if you are still worried.

Just perhaps, guidance regarding long-term withdrawal from alcohol may be more beneficial

i experienced tingling in my toes after eating grilled salmon. my blood sugar levels have been in normal ranges?

: I don't see any connection between those unless a toxic substance was involved. . If you have continual tingling of toes,though, peripheral neuropathy comes to mind. Diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, alcohol excess &amp; exposure to toxins are some of the more common causes. If symptoms persist, see your MD or a neurologist for evaluation, testing&amp; advice.

if i control my blood sugar better, will the pain and tingling go away?

not likely: Once the pain starts from peripheral neuropathy it does not get controlled just by blood sugar control. Nerve damage from pn is usually permanent. Only medications for neuropathic pain can control it.

recently my hypo thyroid change to hyper ,but still doctor suggest to take 100 mcg.is that normal.mild tingling & low bld sugar sympts linked to hyper?

He may want to taper: down your synthroid (thyroxine) dose.

very short dizzy spells. comes about like a wave, immediately followed by tingling in my left arm and fingers. heart palp also. started no sugar diet.

Dizzy  spells: This is probably just dehydration at your age.  Drink plenty of water.  If it is real dizziness it is likely bppv  benign positional postural vertigo.  When you get dizzy you breathe fast because you are scared and the extremities Get tingly.  This is very common. If the dizziness persists see am ENT.  Good luck and feel better!

No: Diabetes is secondary to reduced or absent insulin production, insulin resistance or production of defective insulin. 
Eating sugar increases insulin output but does not cause diabetes. A diabetic cannot tolerate the sugar and would have a very high glucose after eating sugar

Not really: Eating too much sugar can lead to being overweight, which can in turn lead to diabetes. However, the amount of sugar you consume itself does not cause diabetes.

If you have: Diabetes. Otherwise your sugar will remain below 200 no matter what or how much you eat at any one time. If you have diabetes, anything you eat can make your sugar go up unless you're receiving proper treatment.

Low blood sugar: Part of your body's response to low blood sugar involves the release of epinephrine, also known as adrenaline. This can give people the shakes.
These shakes can be treated by eating smaller meals but more frequently. Also, avoiding quick burn carbs like sugars and starches can help.  A little more protein and some of the right fats like olive oil can be helpful.

Yes: The sugar molecules bind to each other and precipitate out on your protein receptors causeing them to change and not work.
