Eating rituals or behaviors can be associated with obsessive compulsive disorder which can lead to eating problems as well.

PCOS cause: I do not believe an eating disorder a decade earlier would be the culprit of polycystic ovarian syndrome. Ask more questions: Take a deep breath. How old is this person. How long has she been this weight? How quickly did she lose her weight? No eating disorders but is she consuming enough calories? Or exercising excessively? What other tests have been performed? Consultants need to know what's already been done so they don't reinvent the wheel. Parasites? Hiv? Colon cancer? Colonoscopy? Ulcers? Egd? Keep looking!

Booster shot needed: However it was that you "recovered" - you might benefit from that again. Actually, this is most true if it was some real treatment but one needs to respect success. Asking 'why' is a luxury and someday you may have an idea or two but for now - seek therapy for the eating disorder. Sadly, many eat w/o 'hunger' perhaps you can find a 'turn on' in sight, smell, etc like they do. Hope you recover well

No not really: Although most of the symptoms revolve around weight eds are about body image & feelings of lack of self worth. Causality is different for each person, but the conflicts around food often arise from early interactions between infants/young children & their caregivers. Some eds are a reaction to sexual abuse & a desire to look like a child or to be overweight & therefore, less attractive 2 an abuser.

No: Many anorexics are underweight, but not even all of that eating disorder. Bulimics can be normal weight or even overweight. It's the pattern of eating behaviors and purging behaviors that are diagnostic. See a doctor to correct your behaviors as early as possible - before physical damage is severe and habits are more stubborn. Hope you do well and live healthy.
