UNDO HABIT: Habits are things we repetetively do without thinking.  We have to consciously choose different or we do things without reason.  There is no reason to eat salty and then sweet.  Counterbalancing unconsciousy generally means we are overdoing one thing and try to swing to the other side.  If you eat everything in moderation and for a reason, then you are eating a meal.  Choose to undo.

Avoid salt: There is no easy answer here, could this be an allergic reaction?  Hard to say.  The salt could cause a histimine release and cause the tongue to swell.  I would stay away from processed foods and switch to a low salt more natural diet.

Kind of high?: I need daily BP  taken 3 times daily: morning noon and night for a one week period of time OR have your PCP set you up for ambulatory BP monitoring.

Depends: Depends on the cause of low salt level it could be due to too much fluid or to losing salt inthe  urine. In older people water restriction is the best solution many times ask your doctor why the salt was low.

Sodium diet: See if you can manage salt free food for a few days. If you feel things are getting better that's great. If there is no change (sodium diet free) for a week, please contact your primary doctor.

Environement: Things that cause dry mouth -

- illness
- Anxiety
- Cold weather
- Excessive Sodium in the foods you eat (canned food, microwaveable foods, salt)

Non prescription recommendation - Oramoist - sticks to the top of the mouth, you wont even notice, apply a few times a day.

: Rinse with a combination of half a cup of hydrogen peroxide and water. Also you can rinse with a non alcoholic mouthwash. Another trick, brush tongue with a fluoride toothpaste. Salty foods are not good, leads to high blood pressure.

Listen to your body: It is probably reflux, not heart disease, but in any case it is your body telling you not to eat so much of those foods. At 32 reflux is mot likely but if you eat those foods frequently then your heart may be a problem later in life.
