3-4 weeks : At the moment your doctor would date your pregnancy based on your last period of aug 1 making you just slightly less than 4 weeks. The doctor will so a bhcg hormone to confirm the pregnancy. I would ultimately date your pregnancy b y your first sonogram to be more accurate given the early ovulation.

Yes, no, and maybe: Yes, if she knows how to adjust her counting based on the length of her cycles or on which day she usually ovulates. Yes, if using an ultrasound to do the dating, such as an 8-11 week ultrasound scan. No, if all she uses for counting is the first day of her last menstrual period and her periods are much longer or much shorter than 28 days. And, maybe it matters little, as all dates are estimates.

Late ovulation: The time between ovulation and menstruation is fixed at 12-14 days.  If you ovulate early on day 10 your period would start on day 24.  If you have a 35 day cycle you probably ovulate around day 21.

Probably : If you ovulate early you will likely get your period early, unless the luteal phase (the last half) is longer than expected or you are pregnant.

Pregnancy test: A missed or late pill can cause your natural hormones to take over and allow ovulation. Hormonal oral contraceptives works by raising the levels of hormone cause your body to not ovulate. No ovulation means you can't get pregnant. Although the chance is low, if you ovulated and had sex in the fertile window, you could be pregnant. Take a pregnancy test and if negative, continue taking your pills.

See Another Doctor: That does not make sense. certainly very early ovulation may be a poor sign of how the ovaries are working but it does not mean you cant be treated. Seek another opinion

Abnormal: So either this was a weird month or a sign of other things. If it happens once that is fine. But if it continues to happen then it is a sign of a problem with the ovaries and eggs where the ovary does not produce enough hormones to adequately or optimally prepare for pregnancy. I would wait and see what happens the next 2 months before being over concerned.

Life of sperm: Sperm have a practical life span of 48-72 hours, so having sex prior to a period which is generally fourteen days before your next ovulation will not result in pregnancy.
