Not normal: This should be evaluated by the operating surgeon during regular office hours within 48Hrs. A warm compress to the affected side of the head may help with the pain as would ibuprofen.

had severe constant pain on carotid artery for long time. can't turn neck for months. bulges more than right side. occasional skin  rash although always leather skin there. lightheaded. eyelid twitch, eye pain. ear pain. carotid throbs when standing?

Doctor can examine: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold, influenza, or adenovirus (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, one sees the doctor if the symptoms are bothersome, recurrent or don't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Lozenges, Tylenol, or Motrin can lessen pain temporarily.

External otitis: External otitis. Swimmers ear. Use OTC drops.. No Q-tips. If pain persists, see ENT doc who may insert wick and prescribe stronger drops and oral antibiotics.

Not enough: Not enough information to be able to diagnose.  Bilateral ear pain not suggestive of infection, sensitive teeth may indicate tooth or gum infection.  Please see your Dentist now.  The longer you wait, the more serious your problem can become.

Virus: Viral upper respiratory infections usually start in the throat, spread to the nose and in some cases down to the windpipe and bronchial tubes. If symptoms last longer than 10 days or with fever, shaking chills, sweats or worsening cough antibiotics and a check up for pneumonia are advisable. Until then a mild cough syrup and gargling with warm salt water is soothing.
