Several causes: In your external or middle ear, you don't want to put anything in your ear for now, just clean, put a cotton plug, and see your doctor for assessment, best wishes

i woke up and there was blood on my pillow and then dry blood around and in my ear,no pain, and i use q-tips everynight...any ideas of what it is?

Yes: dont use tips in the ear canal.  Bleeding could be from irritation of the canal.  I suppose you are lucky it is not painful...

Heartbeat: In my experience this is usually associated with mild hypertension and increased cardiac stroke volume. Monitor your own BP at home and if it is even high normal. get a prescription for a beta blocker from your PCP. This type of drug will usually eliminate the beating sound at night.

Maybe heart problem: Sounds like maybe raising the head helps blood drain, which might imply a kind of poor flow into or thru the heart. Do neck veins get big (jvd ) without the pillows? Spondylitis is too general a term -is this referring to  arthritis in the c-spine?  If so I can't see how this would be directly related.  Please provide more specific and descriptive detail about symptoms and other existing problems.

my 9 month old fell off the bed.fall was minimally broken by a pillow that he fell on but i noticed a little bit of redness on his chin.his teeth look fine, no blood in mouth. checked his head,neck & all limbs look fine.monitoring him.need i worry?

Several cues: The kid with a skull defect you feel needs evaluation. The kid who is not knocked out, disoriented or confused @ the time of the injury is probably fine. Repeated episodes of vomiting in the hours after trauma deserve a look over by the dr.Kids under 8 can be allowed to nap on their regular schedule, with you checking in on occasion.Cold compresses can reduce the swelling, if the kid will let you.
