Cerebral edema: There is no one answer to this question. It depends on many factors such as the severity of it, complications that may have developed, overall status of the patient, his/her immune system, the treatment administered and how early in the course it was started. I have to say this is unpredictable because we don't know which way the patient is going.

Now you're asking us to predict how this person will do w/o ever examining her. It can't be done other than to say we hope that she will improve. However, if you feel that she is getting worse, then it's best that she be evaluated by her physician, specifically the one treating infection.

No: Assuming someone in this situation delivered at exactly 40 weeks (very unlikely), then they would have a little less than 18 weeks to go.  This would be more than 4 months left in the pregnancy.
