NO: There are several kinds of Aveeno (oatmeal). There are several products like Amlactin. Use the one[s] you like best. Determine by cost, availability, smell, and especially by feel. Generics are fine.

4yrs old had a bilateral legs rash last year in winter, docs could not identify the reason. this winter the rash came back, with dry skin this time with 3 purple flat spots on 1 leg each around 3mm, which blood tests are to be doen? henoch shonlein?

Get it checked again: It might be related to ageing process of the skin and might be benign lesions. However, since it was seen by a doctor in the past and there was an advice to watch it, I would advise you to get it checked again to rule out a badness

Eczema: Eczema or contact dermatitis.  If the spots are where some article of clothing rubs then that could be the cause.  If not, then use Hydrocortisone 1% cream three times a day on the dry spots as needed.  If you moisturize with a lotion twice a day all over, then advance to a cream twice a day or an ointment like, vaseline or aquaphor.  That is just the way eczema acts.

what does a tick bite look like after 2-3 weeks? i have a round spot on my ankle that is pink and there is dry skin in a circle around the area.

Possible : It does sound like a possible tick bite.  You could possibly take a picture and submit with your question, or perhaps a better idea would be to let your primary care doctor take a look at it.

i'm almost 28 weeks pregnant. been getting dry itch feeling on and off but you can see dry skin on certain spots. i tend to get itchy after a shower it seems on my back and legs. if i moisturize i feel good. some days nothing. is this cholestasis?

Cholestasis: Unable to determine. Cholestasis of pregnancy is diagnosed based on symptoms and lab studies. Typical scenario of cholestasis of pregnancy is itching and lab tests show elevated bile acids/bilirubin. You need to inform your obgyn about the itching ASAP, since cholestasis of pregnancy is serious and may lead fetal death. However, I do not want to alarm you. You need an eval by obgyn ASAP.

Trial: You may try any of the moisturizers available in drug stores. Pick containers with small amount and try a few. Different people have different preferences. There is no medical basis to recommend one brand over another.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
