for the past month or so i've had this small patch on upper lip that feels dry. it has flaked a couple of times. not red,  no puss, doesn't hurt.

Skin check by MD: Crusted, flakely spots on the skin can be caused by many factors, the most common of which is a form of sundamage known as Actinic Keratosis.  This is a precancerous spot that if left untreated may progress to a true skin cancer.  Early detection and early treatment is how skin cancers are avoided/cured.  Seek advice from a Plastic Surgeon or dermatologist.

hi, i get a non raised of itchy red rash/ patches on my cheeks and around eyes 1/7 days of the week, i also get red, dry upper lip 6/7  do you know?

Allergy: Since the rash is not persistent but does recur, It could be due to allergy or intolerance to makeup or cosmetics. Occasionally such a reaction is an eczema reaction to foods. Some people react to materials in eye glasses this way. A dermatologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise treatment.

Folliclitis: It may be hair follicle irritation or seborrheic dermatitis, looking at it might help to make a better comment.

i constantly have a red/dry "mustache" on my upper lip. i use benzoyl peroxide and moisturizer daily for acne. what can i do to calm redness?

Accepted Answer

: Benzoyl peroxide may be drying and could cause redness and irritation.  Is it possible that your moisturizer has added color or fragrance that is irritating your skin?  If the area above your lip really needs daily acne treatment, consider discussing options with a dermatologist.

Cheilitis: Persistent or recurrent redness of lips is often caused by substances which come in contact with the face or lips. Drooling or lip smacking habits are not likely. Lip balms, especially containing bees wax, toothpaste,lotions,creams,etc are possible causes.

See a Dermatologist: Lesions and eyes and around mouth can be due to compulsive and excessive use of soap or cleaning the face, eczematous dermatitis, and occasionally infectious dermatitis.   
If only contact dermatitis or eczema can be treated with anti-inflammatory creams but if you have papules or pustules with it may need anti-biotic.  Must see a dermatologist.

i waxed my upper lip and at first it was just red like normal.but now it's dark, very dry, and peeling.how long will it take to heal?what should i do

Depends: It depends on how deep the injury is and how dark your skin color is. Skin discoloration/darkening after an injury or inflammatory event can take as short as a week to as long as over a year to resolve. The worse the injury &amp; the darker the skin, the higher the potential for prolonged discoloration. Keeping it protected from the sun and applying an ointment-based moisturizer (e.g. Vaseline) helps.

Rash upper lip: if above the lip, on  skin, may  be dry skin from winter, try coconut oil, or irritation from runny nose or eczema, rarely get eczema from strep, If it is actually on the lip, near the edges (cheilosis)may be Vit C,B, zinc deficiency take vit or infection(need meds) , if was a blister may be herpes, try Lysine 1500 mg a day x 5 then 500 a day x 2 months to prevent ( or acyclovir) F/U w/doc

Worth a look: It's worth looking at and depending on the length of time this has been going on and if it's worsening, possibly taking a small biopsy.
