Hopefully: Generic drugs tend to be less expensive than their patented precursors.  The cost of generics has been trending upwards in the United States making them less affordable than in the past.  Call your Congressmen and Senators.  Medication in general should not be a luxury product, whether brand or generic.

Prob ok: If I am reading the label correctly, it expires this month. But why run the risk, maybe the next time you are out just go by for afresh bottle.  There are reasons for that date of expiration.

: Plan B, is emergency contraception you take within 48-72 hours after every episode of unprotected sex.  It contains a high level of hormones that interfere with the implantation of a fertilized embryo. It should not be used regularly as the levonorgestrel can have side effects. For multiple sexual encounters over a period of weeks or months, you should consider using other forms of birth control.

Better Ideas: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing  so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day  and protected from trauma.  Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected.

Expiration: Most drugs expiration date is a year. Some drugs less. There have been studies that looked at the efficacy of drugs post expiration and some were still effective as many as 20 years out. Best is to see your doc and see what's best for you.  :)

Inaccurate: The expiration date is the last date at which the manufacturer considers the test to be accurate.  After the expiration date you may get a measure that is not correct.

Caffeine effects: You should be able to find an expiration date somewhere on the bottle but I expect it is still good and safe to use even if a bit past the "expiration date" (which is generally not that accurate). The only side effect might be getting a bit hyper from the caffeine but it only has as much caffeine as 1/5 cup of coffee. See

3yr old ate uncured turkey pepperoni that was probably a month old. wasn't expired but was way past the best within 7 days of opening. should i worry?

No: If this was a commercial product he should be fine.  Watch for diarrhea or abdominal pains.
