Stay on it: ...Until you are ready to get pregnant. Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is my preferred birth control pill for my pcos patients. I recently had one that was on it for three years and recently went off of it. Her cycles so far are regular and she will be trying to conceive.

Rare complication : Dvt (blood clot) is a rare but known risk of all birth control pills containing estrogen. The risk is less than during pregnancy. If you wanted to lower your risk further consider a non estrogen containing product like an iud.
