Could: Dr. Oz is referring to decreased intestinal transit times with carbohydrates or starches. Anything that does this could increase the likelihood of fecaliths  and subsequent appendicitis or even diverticulitis for that matter.

At first you feel patient and time passes easily. You stay focused longer but are processing data at half the speed. After a few years if you take  away the drug you'll be anxious, irritable, and completely unable to concentrate. Try coffee.

Hope this helps: Depending on the rythm the heart rate can have more issues than others. If you are on fentanyl I would make the assumption you have pain. If such is the case then you probably have Sinus Tachycardia. Normal response heart rate. If not, and your rythm is Atrial Fibrillation for example with a CHADS2 score &gt;2 you might need anticoagulation. So it depends on the picture if the HR is "dangerous" or no
