Supplemental carnitine may be of value with little side effect.  Basic good nutrition and appropriate exercise is also important.

That having been said, i think everything is made too sweet!

Won't affect: Metabolic rate. That is determined by genetics, exercise, thyroid level, etc. Not by dietary intake. It's 3500 calories to gain or lose a pound. Metabolic rate only affects how rapidly you can change.

Different approach: Not so easy with a metabolic muscle disease.  Mostly would suggest very low exertion activities, and at first sign of cramping, rest immediately.  Swimming might not be a bad choice but would do with companion in shallow water.  Would definitely work with a physical therapist to fine tune all of this.

No, but: The ketogenic diet is not healthy for long term use. Learn to eat a proper diet that you can continue the rest of your life, and increase your exercise.

im in my mid 20s, i notice at my nipples are getting very puffy, my diet is well, exercise, no drugs, drinking or supplements. my metabolic panel was mostly normal alt slightly evaluated, wbc slightly low. do i have a tumor somewhere?

: No, I dont' think you have a tumor. The  slight enlargement of breast and nipple may be related to taking over the counter pills containing testosterone like substance to enhance your exercise stamina. Stop all supplements for a month or  two and see if it is resolved.

Acid reflux? : May be you are suffering of Acute Gastritis with GERD so take antacids.
