No: Xanax (alprazolam) does not necessarily cause water retention. If it affects your kidneys from an existing kidney problem, then it might a little.  You still need to drink plenty of fluids with physical activity.

Injecting : Injecting xanax (alprazolam) mixed with water can kill you. Injecting a mixture of medication and water that is not sterilized can cause a life threating infection in your body. Also you are at risk for injecting an air embolism which can travel through your vessels into your brain and heart and cause instant death. Medications meant for oral use are never safe for injection.

i've been getting headaches for the last 3 or 4 days in a row . i'm drinking water . i'm prescribed xanax but it never has given me a headache before.

Many reasons: There are many reasons for headaches. Some of the more common reasons include migraines, tension headaches, etc. Without an assessment of your particular case would be difficult to tell. : Certainly large amounts of alcohol and benzodiazepine drugs (like Xanax) are not recommended. However, this level of exposure is trivial. You might be a bit sleepy for a while, but probably nothing more.

Possibly: Aleve is an NSAID that can impact the kidney's ability to process fluids as usual; this can result in fluid retention.

Very variable : Some of my patients have started as early as 24 weeks, but it is more common in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy. Decreasing salt and salty foods and increasing water and putting the feet up can help. If it is severe tell your doctor.

Edema: Benicar (olmesartan), like other angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB's), can cause swelling of the face (facial edema) and lips as an allergic reaction, but it is not otherwise associated with fluid retention

Fluid: She could have venous stasis.  This can happen if the valves of the veins do a poor job of sending the blood up the leg and back to the heart.  Usually starts with swelling, and then a red, itchy rash may develop where the skin is stretching (can be around entire ankle, but usually on the inside mostly).  Other possibilities are lymphedema, tenosynovitis, or old injury.  See a podiatrist.
