However, do not always do the same exercise or you will increase your risks for stress injuries. Mix things up with running, biking, swimming, or circuit training. Core exercises may build muscle, but to burn fat you need to burn more than you consume and cardio is key!

Spot fat loss does: not occur naturally. By losing weight in general some will probably be abdominal fat. But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy &amp; be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge &amp; “bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

A calorie is a calorie, but surely avoid sugar & simple starch calories.

Some people have round "bloated" bellies from poor digestion so a diet history is #1 on the list. If she is eating too many carbs and not digesting them but "fermenting"  them she will have a distended looking belly. From there we create the best plan for her.
