No: Wellbutrin doesn't Prozac may but also can have weight loss Cymbalta (duloxetine) may in my experience few pts complain of wt gain with any of these meds.

Sometimes: The side effect profile for most mental health drugs indicate appetite and weight change.  This is almost always a possibility.   If you are prescribed these medications, discuss this concern with your doctor.

See your doctor: If the lexapro is working and you are getting more restful sleep, the weight will not be such a factor. Wellbutrin (bupropion) is a possibility that you will have to talk to your doctor about, whether adding it or switching to it. It is best to stay with what is working for you. If you feel better, you will exercise more and sleep better, both of which help with weight loss. Feel better.

Yes: Cognitive behavioral therapy , is very  good treatment for anxiety, other anxiety medication given for a short time only.

Zoloft (sertraline): Like most of the ssri's, zoloft can cause some weight gain -- but a little less likely than paxil (paroxetine).  In some people it can be sedating, so you might want to experiment with taking it at night.  Some people prefer it in the morning, and those are ones who don't experience any sedation.

Learning experience: Sleep is not an entity that is standard for any two people.  Everyone tolerates sleep, hours asleep and sleep deprivation differently.  The quality of sleep is more important than the quantity.  If in doubt, get to a sleep professional.

can lamotrigine for focal seizures or apri birth control cause weight gain? ive always been very petite. in the last year and a half, ive gained to my all time high. im 55/56 and now weigh 150. never used to be more than 120. diet/exercise same?

: Lamotrigine is usually weight neutral, and in my experience, has never been associated with significant weight gain.  BCP's, maybe a culprit; ask your gynecologist.  Perhaps eat less, exercise more, and less calories result in lower weight.
