Prob not needed: There are some theoretical questions about the interaction of vitamin C with oral contraceptive pills.Taking vitamin C may result in increased blood concentration of estradiol which, again theoretically, might impact the pill's effectiveness. 600 mg is a moderate dose; I would try to get more vitamin C in my diet, &amp; limit supplemental vitamin C to 250 mg. Unlikely: A study has shown that the increase in  availability of estrogen in women taking a lot of vitamin c is not of any clinical significance.  Vitamin c does not decrease the effectiveness of the pills, although huge doses may cause mild symptoms of excess estrogen.
