can vitamin b complex cause acne? what about fish oil? i wanna take a supplement to make me gain weight but i don't want acne risk if ever? help?

Supplements and Acne: Hi, neither b complex or fish oil will cause acne. In fact, both of those can actually be beneficial to those suffering from certain types of acne. Having said that, neither of those will lead to weight gain either. Gaining good weight is a result of healthy eating of appropriate nutrients including proteins and "good" fats as well as an appropriate exercise regimen.

There's no telling: Trying to figure out what's causing one to have acne is futile. Ignore all "pop" ideas and start using topical benzoyl peroxide 1-2x daily, perhaps 5%. It's not pleasant but it's your best friend. If it doesn't clear you, your physician can add prescription strength Rx. My acne remitted when I was 50; yours will too, someday. Until then, manage it like the serious medical problem that it is.

BP is better: Biotin and vitamin b complex are fine but don't expect a miracle when it comes to acne.  Benzoyl peroxide will give you better results by far.  If your skin is dry, use the cream.  If it's oily, use the gel.

Overdose of Vit B: can caused increased urination but haven't heard of urinary incontinence. Vit B complex overdose Sx's: nausea/vomiting, loose stools, abdominal cramps, ^ thirst, ^ urination, blurred vision &amp; skin flushing. Probably yeast: No, it is not likely the vitamin that is causing this. This sounds like a yeast infection. You can take over the counter miconazole cream, or see a doctor to get a prescription medication.

Constipation: Usually not. On the other hand, if your b complex tablet has iron in it, the iron can cause constipation. Lactobacillus is a probiotic used to replenish normal good bacteria in the colon and is usually beneficial in regularizing bowel habits.

i was told by my doctor to start taking vitamin b complex. i purchased some at the drug store and noticed the vitamin b12 in it has 15 mcg, is that to much vitamin b12? will it give me jitters and cause my heat to race?

: It is unlikely that you will ingest too much vitamin B12 because excess amounts leave the body through urine. If your urine is bright yellow, it is most likely that you are taking in more B vitamins than you really need.  Expensive urine, but not dangerous.
