Achlorhydria B12: You need to have acid in the stomach to assist with the the absorption of B12 (too technical to explain here). Without acid due to  an acquired condition such as achlorhydria or to medication affects (from proton pump inhibitors which are commonly prescribed), you can develop B12 deficiency.

B12 is not: often low. It is found in all animal products and is stored in the liver. If not a vegan, the levels of b12 are rarely low in non-elderly. It doesn't interact with antidepressants in any case. A stress hormone and anti-depressant could interact, but it's pretty UNlikely.

Comments: First question involves whether you need to supplement B-12, especially at your age.  A blood test could objectify deficiency.  If you truly did have pernicious anemia, would treat with 1000 mcg injection monthly.  Suggest you contact your physician and discuss use of your B-12.

B12 Eyes: B12 deficiency is associated with an anemia, neuropathies, and non-specific neurological affects such as fatigue, depression, and psychosis. The deficiency is not associated with eye problems per se.
