See below: If the bf does not have hiv, there is no risk for HIV infection. If the bf has HIV the risk of infection increases with the presence of skin lesions, especially skin ulcers. Vaginal inflammation increases the risk on exposure to HIV infected partner.

: No risk, no worries. First, HIV isn't transmitted this way; not enough virus can survive on a speculum for more than a few minutes. And you can be pretty certain the doctor's office appropriately cleans their vaginal speculums after use; or, more likely, that they use single-use, disposable speculums. Don't worry about this.
