what causes random bruises on legs? i have been taking naproxen for around 2 weeks at 500mg once a day, i have 3-4 small bruises that i don't know where they came from

Bruising: Naproxen can lower the platelet count. It might contribute to that.

Yes: All nonsteroidal  meds can increase the risk of some bleeding which is what bruising is.

Drug Side Effect: Common drugs can also increase bruising. These include aspirin, Ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, some antibiotics, and alcohol. : You are 44. Its time to begin screening for various problems that you may be at risk for. For this reason alone you should visit a gynecologist. Your symptoms could well be a normal response to hormonal influence but a change in your usual pattern is worth investigating. This is a rational approach to maintaining your health and not something that should scare you. I'm assuming you're not pregnant

Coccyx Fracture: An abrupt vertical deceleration injury to the butt can result in a coccyx fracture that would not show up on X-ray unless  the bone fragments displace and separate. The bruising on your butt is a sign of a missed fracture and pain persisting  for weeks. Use a soft donut shaped cushion to sit on-you can make one with stocking stuffers. Try Epsom salt soaks and avoid constipation opiates!

my doctor insist i keep taking my tablets (naproxen) but since i've took them i've been getting bruises and rashes? should i continue or?

Depends...: ...on why you are taking it. If the benefits outweigh these adverse effects, then yes, you should continue it. If the bruises and rashes are a significant issue, ask you doctor if there is an alternative medication that could be prescribed instead of Naproxen.
