when i used to drink alcohol i would get tachycardia for hours after and sweating. why would this happen?

Enzyme: It happens to many people with drinking. Some have a deficiency of an enzyme in the stomach that helps metabolize alcohol, which makes one more susceptible to its side effects.

irritable pink/redness round the eyes (mostly eyelids).  worse after exercise/sweating.  also after alcohol they get much worse.  causes dry/dead skin?

Stop the alcohol: You may be allergic to something that is touching your eyelids (new nail polish, perfume, makeup) if your family or you has a history of hayfever, asthma, allergies or ezcema-it could be ezcema. You need to see a dermatologist. Until then stop all makeup, nailpolish, perfume. An otc jydrocortisone ointment 1% may help till then.

Most people will: Most people who drink too much and have actual withdrawals will get those 2 symptoms to some degree. For some they may be more severe depending on factors such as the amount of alcohol comsumed prior. Some people may get more severe symptoms such a dt's, hallucinations and seizure.

Withdrawal: Alcohol is a sedative so the body compensates by increasing adrenaline response. When excess alcohol intake is suddenly decreased, it's like letting go of a tug of war rope. The person now feels effects of adrenaline response, like sweats, tremor, anxiety, high heart rate. This is alcohol withdrawal &amp;can lead to fatal delirium &amp;seizures. See a doctor right away if sweats &amp;shakes are happening.

i went out two nights ago and drank too much. since then ive been waking up sweaty. its mild sweat. could it still be from alcohol? are they true night sweats if mild. doesnt even get on clothes?

: I would look for other reasons for mild.night sweats such as warm environment, hormonal causes(premenopausal), taking tylenol, advil.or aspirin around bedtime or too warm bed clothes.

However fever and chills should not be ignored. It would be worthwhile to see a doctor if they persist.

Could be sensitive: To temper changes, going from cold outdoors to hot indoors, and you're flushing on your ears, nose. If that's not part of the history, it's difficult to say since you aren't taking any supplements, as Niacin could potentially cause it too.
