Constipation concern: Constipation is a common side effect of Ultram, but not of Lidoderm.  Change in bowel habits is a concern, and is best evaluated by your doctor, who will perform an examination and order appropriate tests.

Other reason: You are on torsemide and spironolactone, and those are not likely to cause the hyponatremia. Thiazide-type diuretics can typically cause hyponatremia. The most likely cause in someone with cirrhosis and what sounds like heart failure is likely those. Thus, the treatment would be geared toward those. Unfortunately in the US, tolvaptan would not be an option due to cirrhosis. Can fluid restrict.

DSMO: Dsmo for interstitial cystitis does not cause constipation.It cause garlic like odour from the skin and breath.And you need to have liver and kidney functions checked every six months.

No easy way: Liquid colace (docusate sodium) is super bitter- it would take a lot of something sweet to make it palable.  Ask your physician if you could use MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) instead.  It is over the counter, mixes well with juice and doesn't have a bitter after taste.  Don't forget to  increase fluids and whole fibers in your child's diet.  Whole grains, whole apples, plums and pears will help.

Usually safe.:  When used under medical supervision, there are generally not many severe side effects. The dosage for daily use is quite small. If your doctor recommended, it may be worth a try. Good luck.
