Yes, very harmful: If you have an ulcer it is less likely to heal if you are a smoker. Smoking is of course also very harmful if you don't have a stomach ulcer.  So many reasons to quit! You can quit if you make a committed effort and use the help of your doc, family, friends, &amp; FDA approved smoking cessation aids. Don't worry if you relapse, just keep trying! Most smokers require 3-5 quit attempt to win the battle.

Chills: Yes. Chills occur when there is a discrepancy between the ambient atmospheric temperature and that of  the surface of the skin. If the skin temp is lower, the body's thermostat will try to increase the temperature by chilling which is muscular and raises the temp. When you eat you may redistribute some of the circulation from the skin to the intestines, and a stomach ulcer may induce such changes.

Unlikely: Prenatal vitamins to my knowledge haven't been associated with stomach ulcer formation. Having said that, many women have adverse reactions to many prenatal pills.  Most commonly women complain of nausea or a bad feeling in their stomach.  Pregnancy, however, can be associated with new onset or worsening heartburn.  See your doctor if you're worried about an ulcer, that's a serious condition.
