recently started to experience pain in one of my breasts. i've also been feeling pain under my ribs (mainly right) but this has been for awhile and comes and goes with my diet choices.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

If they do the you probably have a thoracic nerve compression coming from your upper back.

Tietzes?Costochondri: This could be costochondritis due to trauma, infection or autoimmune disease or could be tietze's syndrome as two possibilities but could also be caused by a variety of other diseases. See your internist for an examination and testing and imaging.

Bra and posture: Pain in the upper back in female could be caused by a bad posture specially if the female is taller than usual they have a tendency to look down more often listen to your mother and keep your head up and your back straight
sometime are caused by the hard metal wire of some bra
sometime are caused by rib pain caused by pressure trauma or bruises
heat and good posture Ibuprofen may help.

Tietze Syndrome: You likely have some form of inflammation of the cartilage of the chest. This is very common if you have had a recent cold or cough.

If the pain is coming with activity or without touching your chest you should see a doctor to rule out cardiac issues.
