what's the best way to know if my plan b has caused/resulted in an ectopic pregnancy?

See your doctor: Plan b will not prevent an ectopic pregnancy so the chance of an ectopic is higher when Plan B fails.  If you get pregnant on Plan B you need to be monitored more closely until it is certain the pregnancy is normal.  This is not the same as saying Plan B causes the ectopic.

No: Pregnancy would not be possible in these circumstances. Using contraception would alleviate anxiety around undesired pregnancy

No: If the pregnancy test is positive, then perhaps Plan B failed or you were already pregnant when you took it. Please get with your physician now -- this could be a critical time for you.

: Pregnancy is not possible in above mentioned circumstances. Contraception remains otherwise key in avoiding undesired pregnancy and associated anxiety when intercourse is likely to occur.

Plan B: No. Plan b will not cause a postive pregnancy test. If positive its because most likely you are pregnant and the Plan B did not work or you took it more than the recommended 3-5 days after an unprotected sexual encounter.  See your obgyn for more testing and ultrasound.

: From your description it would not pregnancy which requires ejaculation and its deposition inside the vagina.. Next time wear a condom.

Doubtful: Pre-jaculatory fluid does contain sperm cells, problematic only with unprotected penetration and leakage into the vaginal canal. Plan B should cover any possibility of pregnancy; however, time to use BOTH condoms and BC pills.

Many reasons: for no cycle, the addition of the morning after pill can cause this, also regular birth control pills as well. Exam and discussion with your doctor may be needed, to achieve best care plan, and help your concerns to alleviated.

May be Plan B: Potential side effects w emergency contraception: tender breasts; menstrual flow changes (spotting, bleeding, early or late period); loose stools; dizziness; headache; nausea/ vomiting; abdominal pain / cramping or fatigue. For chest tightness, difficulty breathing, swelling of lips, mouth, throat – call 911. Take pregnancy test & notify dr if your period is 7 or &gt; days late.

You could be pregnan: Increased discharge (with a thick white color) and darkened nipples are definitely some of the changes experienced during pregnancy.  You should take a pregnancy test immediately.
