Helps/prevents diarr: Acidophilus supplement s reintroduce beneficial bacteria into the GI system.It helps keep diarrhea/constipation under control, help counteracting  lactose intolerance, help reducing internal gas and others.
It is even more effective when good bacteria in gut are destroyed by use of antibiotics.Also commercial food processing destroy beneficial bacteria and pb8 helps replace these.

Maybe,maybe not: Acidophilus as as a benign product will not hurt a kid with diarrhea, and the beneficial organisms in the product can help the gut build up a normal level of helpful bacteria. It can be a helpful product in helping a kid get over diarrhea.

Not typically: Acidophilus chews are known to cause harmless effects like hiccups, excess gas and belching.  Diarrhea, while uncommon, should be minimal. 

 If you experience any of the following side effects :
Rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, difficulty breathing, weakness, nausea or vomiting

notify your doctor or go to the ER  right away.

i drink wine 2-4 a week n once every other month i get diarrhea, also i hv acid reflux almost daily. both better w/acidophilus ?

DGL is used to: help with acid reflux and is a safe supplement.  If you take licorice that is not DGL, over time it can raise your blood pressure.  Please consult w/your doc.  Peace and good health.

Not yet: Give it a few days. A viral intestinal tract infection or mild food poisoning will resolve on their own. Eat a soft, bland diet with no harsh roughage and drink adequate fluids. Use kaopectate or Imodium as needed. If symptoms persist or worsen a stool culture to check for pathogens is recommended.

What's the cause?: Not a weird question at all!  "plugging up" diarrhea will not cure an infection, fix an inflammatory process, improve an ischemic gut, or correct a functional issue.  Medical evaluation is recommended appropriate to the duration of your symptoms, associations (bleeding, weight loss, pain, vomiting), as well as your other medical co-morbidities.  Call your doctor please and get checked.

No: May help recover from an infectious or antibiotic associated diarrhea though.  Most yohgurts have lots of artificial sweeteners and flavorings which make them of little benefit.  Some have actually been chastized by the fda for making unsubstantited claims.

Common signs of ovulation are cramping, back pain, vaginal discharge/mucus, spotting, breast tenderness/soreness, changing hormones, and increased body temperature.  Some women's colons are more sensitive to fluctuating hormones, and it is possible.  Use brat diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) and imodium (loperamide).  See ob/gyn exclude more serious thing.

It is an antacid: Sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) (baking soda) acts as an antacid. It shouldn't cause diarrhea.
