Infection: Gastroenteritis, i.e.  Infection of the stomach. In your case, it seems  involvement of large  intestine. Adhesions from previous surgeries, causing obstruction, increase amount of use of opiates for tx of pain, volvulus, intususseption, poor peristaltic movements due to nerve damage, ischemia of bowel, dehydration, hard stool impaction, etc. Please consult your pcp, GI consultation.

Normal: The stool color is provided by the bile from the liver that is adds to fecal debris.It starts out a deep green ; slowly changes thru greens to yellows to browns as the germs in the intestines metabolize the bile.Green generally means the stool in question moved through faster or was subject to less change by gut germs.

my son is 1 year 3 months his been vomiting and has a running stomach for the past few days his not eating and the little he gets in he ends up vomiting i've tried giving him medication for diarrhea but it's not working. what do i do?

Pediatrician: Call his Physician. So many possible causes. You Arte trying to treat symptoms but it would be more efficient t to treat the cause. Examination and/or lab tests may be required. Keep him hydrated until Pediatrician gives you additional directions. And inn he4n hasn't seen a Pedodontist, a Children's Dental Specialist yet, he's overdue.

i have had stomach cramps, bloated stomach and diarrhea for a little over a week. ill go several days when i really cant eat a meal at all and then a day or two where i feel a bit better and eat a couple small meals. currently back to not eating?

: Your symptoms are somewhat not consistent with the natural history of an acute gastroenteritis, either caused by viral or bacterial infection. However, one week is too early to jump into any conclusion. I would advise good hydration, somewhat selective in your foods and eat light diet for another week. If the overall symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks, see your doc for a basic work-up.

Travelers diarrhea: Not only vegetables are a source of water contamination. You might had been exposed in some other way. If you are having diarrhea under these circumstances call you doctor and get seen so you may get treated for this.
