: The times of taking the active pills in combined oral bcp's is best observed by taking the active pills within an hour or so of the prior day's active pill.  Taking them earlier than the prior day's pill will not diminish the contraceptive effect, but even oral combined bcp's are not "100% effective".

Microgynon 30 tablets contain two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel.
