i, m 34 yrs and going to be 35 soon am on 65mls methadone and want a 2nd child can i do a quick detox once im pregnant as don't want to wait to cut down?

If you are ready: You need to do it before you become pregnant.  And that is if you are ready- have a support system, not using any other drugs of abuse or alcohol. It is not recommended to detox in the first trimester because of potential for miscarriage, or in the last trimester because of other complications. So only the middle 12 weeks is available, when it is more difficult to detox.Talk to counselor/nurse/doc.

They don't interact: Both drugs are clearly harmful for different reasons. Methadone is an opiate which can suppress respiration, or lead to overdose. Mdma can have damaging effects on the brain with even a single use.

Yes: Yes you can but you need to get off the methadone first or your baby will almost certainly be affected.

Methadone: The quick test (dip stick) is good to get a quick idea. However, its not very specific and false positive results are not uncommon.  In an instance like this the specimen must be sent to the lab for confirmation.

Several possiblities: Three commonly used medications can cause false positive methadone tests on the screening test - two antihistamines commonly used - diphenhydramine (Benadryl®) and doxylamine (Unisom®).  Also, Seroquel® (quetiapine), a commonly used antipsychotic and anti-anxiety medication can do this. However, confirmatory tests should show that it is a FALSE positive.

does it make it harder to loss weight by exercising and eating healthy when on 170 mg of methadone? i can't loss this 16lbs i gained in 4 months.

Possibly: That's a high dose and will interfere with the function of the hypothalamus and reduce the levels of anabolic hormones like testosterone and estrogen.  This can less to increased appetite, decreased metabolic rate and weight gain.

It's an opiate!: Methadone (just like morphine, heroin, codeine, oxycodone, opium &amp; hydromorphone) is an opiate. If you're CERTAIN your aren't ingesting any other opiate, then only methadone should show up on your drug tests.   However, office based urine drug screens can give false positive results for other drugs.  If there's any question, they should be followed up by a confirmation test.
