Locking Knees: It triggers vasovagal response or postural hypotension, that could fall in bp, which causes fainting.

Faint: Fainting is due to decreased blood supply to the brain.  The effects of gravity are greater when standing than sitting, so fainting is more likely standing.  But it can also happen in a sitting position, even with the head down, if the brain is not being adequately perfused  by blood.  This might be for a variety of causes related to heart, brain or even , possibly emotional.

Pronation Issues: When your foot pronates too far, the arch collapses inward driving the knee inward. This creates instability issues and a feeling of being off balance, especially when the pronation is asymmetrical. When designing orthotic devices for such a problem, not only is the pronation addressed, but the asymmetry with typically more correction on one side more than the other. Dr rich blake.

I : I can't tell by this info how stable or unstable you are right now.  However, i would not want to be hemodynamically unstable if i were going to fly. Fainting on an airplane can cause a lot of commotion.  If you are often feeling faint when standing, don't recommend that you fly. I do recommend that you see your doctor to find out what your health problem is.

why does my heart rate increase so much when i stand? and my knees get tired quite easily and sometimes i feel like im going to faint? my rhr is 67 and when i stand it goes to 100-115ish. i have healthy mobility habits and dont drink or smoke?

: POTS or postural tachycardia syndrome is a condition where blood pressure drops precipitously when you go from sitting to standing.  The heart tries to compensate by increasing its rate to raise the blood pressure.  This condition is more common in young females than young males. As the years go on symptoms tend to lessen as the autonomic nervous system strengthens.Increase salt&amp;water intake helps

PPD positive: Is this PPD positive? If so with weight loss and rib pain needs to rule out Tuberculosis. Must see a physician as soon as possible for further investigation, like blood test, xray chest and immediate treatment.

Most commonly: "Locking" is due to a significant "internal derangement" (Torn cartilage) and an MRI is usually the next step. "Popping" may be due to a piece of loose cartilage "hanging" from a tear and "catching"BETWEEN the tibia/femur where they "meet"  IN SHORT YOu NEED TO SEE AN ORTHOPEDIST.

Knee hurts: You may have a menisceal tear or ACL injury. Please see an orthopedic surgeon

May be: a "flap" torn from a menisceal cartilage. An MRI is indicated. Consult your PCP for a possible referral!
