Hair loss: Can be nutritional low  iron,  biotin ,zinc  due to hypothyroidism,polycystic ovarian syndrome, infection like ringworm( fungus) autoimmune disease like Lupus, or autoimmune process like alopecia areata  or genetic. Could try well balanced diet with lots of greens , shampoo like Nizoral and  follow up with dermatology

Other cause: It is unlikely that your persistent hair loss is due to the treatment you used over a year ago.  There are many causes of hair loss which can be evaluated and possibly treated by your physician.

Fungal infection: Be checked for a fungal infection. Sometimes a special light will show it but often you need cultures. All the best.

: Be aware that hair straightening with heat application does damage hair follicles and does cause split ends,breakage and definitely can cause hair loss. A skilled beautician can advise you about the current status of your hair and advise you about best hair care techniques.

Not really: There are several really good chemical "cures" for head lice. Many are readily available OTC.  There is a normal degree of hair loss as one gets older.  You can speak to a dermatologist about your degree of hair loss if it really disturbs you enough.

THINK: Hair straightening is notorious for damaging hair. The hair becomes brittle and breaks off. It will still grow back. If you must use a "relaxer" be very careful.

"black specs" ?'s: " Black specs" in your underwear, may still be scabies (lice), so see your physician for an exam and treatment.  Contact with the genital region of another individual may convey lice infections without actual "intercourse".
