Yes but rare: Since 1992, the us blood supply has been rigorously tested for many infections including hepatitis c. Getting a blood transfusion since then has been pretty safe. Your risk of contracting hepatitis C is not zero but the risk is low.

Sensitized: She'll make antibodies against D (the main Rh antigen) and these will cross the placenta and damage Junior if he/she is Rh positive. Generally, we don't give Rh-pos blood to Rh-neg people because they tend to destroy the transfused cells anyway, and who needs that?

If you receive HIV + blood, 95% likely you will contract it.
