my wife is on antibiotics which have caused a lot of diarrhea. what can we do to reduce this symptom? already taking lots of yogurt.

Probiotics: Consider a probiotic that contains both lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacter.  Consult with your physician for additional testing to rule out c difficile infection as a cause of diarrhea.

May be: Probiotics have not been shown to be beneficial, the commercial messages notwithstanding. 
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

eating greek yogurt give you diarrhea.

Maybe: Greek yogurt contains some lactose sugar and lactose intolerance could give you diarrhea. Colitis flare could also cause diarrhea regardless of your food choice. Good Luck!

Stools: The character and consistency of stools may change with alterations in dietary intake which change the colonic bacterial flora, but as long as this does not change the frequency of stooling, probably will resolve spontaneously if actually due to your changes in diet. On the other hand, the loose stools are more likely related to the virus producing your cold. If it keeps up, see a doctor.

No: May help recover from an infectious or antibiotic associated diarrhea though.  Most yohgurts have lots of artificial sweeteners and flavorings which make them of little benefit.  Some have actually been chastized by the fda for making unsubstantited claims.

Stay hydrated: The most important thing is to stay hydrated as the symptoms run their course. Pure water or sports drinks (for the electrolytes) are good options. Just be careful of sugar content when consuming sports drinks. Also avoid red drinks as they could be confused with blood in stool. If you develop a high fever, fatigue, confusion, or overall worsening of condition; you should go see a physician

Could help...: Yogurt can help recolonize the intestinal tract with "good bacteria" after diarrhea. This is especially true if the diarrhea was brought on after taking antibiotics for an infection. It may not help, but if the 9 year old would eat it, it will not hurt.

Yes : Yoghurt has some lactose that has not fermented and lead to symptoms in people who have severe lactose intolerance.
