Probable cystitis: Ovarian and other cancers in pelvis rarely associated with pain unless there is bowel obstruction from mets.  pain on urinating mostly from inflammation in bladder.  Urine analysis , colonoscopy and cystoscopy needed if urine analysis doesn't resoslve issue.

is perfumed talcum body powder safe to use daily? i dont use it anywhere near my genitals, only inside my socks when i wear heavy work boots. i heard so much conflicting opinions about it causing ovarian cancer?

: There are no conflicting opinions. Talcum powder should not be used and has been implicated in ovarian cancer. There are other things on the OTc market you can use

Usually not.: Although a pelvic or abdominal tumor can lead to an increase in pelvic veins seen on the skin, there are more frequent causes such as malfunctioning (refluxing) valves in the saphenous system or even in the ovarian veins (pelvic congestion syndrome).A ct of the abdomen and pelvis as well as a leg venous ultrasound will help to make the diagnosis. See a vein specialist.

No: You have already indicated that your ct scan showed no evidence of a mass lesion, and diagnosis of ovarian ca would require some physical evidence to warrant a biopsy.  This cannot be diagnosed by vague non-specific symptoms or by laboratory testing.  As recommended earlier, you need to have a very good primary care doctor coordinating your care.  Hope you feel better and have less back pain.

Maybe: There are many different diagnoses which could cause cramping in the pelvis. From benign (constipation, fibroid tumor) to malignant (rectal cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, etc). Symptoms of ovarian cancer can mimic many different diseases. The best advice is to be seen by your gynecologist for a pelvic examination and if necessary trans-vaginal ultrasound.

NORMAL: values are less than 46u/ml-if you have persistent pelvic pain see your GYN for a pelvic ultrasound and hormone level checks. If severe- CTscan of pelvis.

Pap and ovarian CA: First just remember a Pap test is only good for finding cervical CA. It doesn't find ovarian or uterine CA. That's why ovarian CA is called the silent CA and uterine CA presents with bleeding. Your abnormal pap is not even at a level where it would be CA yet. Talk to your doctor and ask if the CA cells from the ovarian CA look like the pap.  Sounds like u have a new problem.  Hang in there!

Very rare under 40: Do you have a family history of ovarian cancer? There are many non-serious causes of pelvic pain in women your age. The most common: forms of ovarian cancer develop very slowly, and would not tend to affect your periods. Talk to your GYN for follow up.
