However, I suspect that your physician prescribed only low dose amitriptyline to allow you to sleep. This is not an unusual drug combination. Even though there is a risk, most tolerate this well.

Alcohol and SSRIs: Mixing alcohol with any medication is not good practice. Moreover alcohol is a central nervous system depressant and its effects could be heightened when used with Prozac (fluoxetine) and visa versa. Please stop and let your doctor know. When bad side effects do occur it is hard to reverse them,so don't try to elicit them..
