Same as a vaccine: With implanon/nexplanon your provider will numb the skin first so you won't feel the insertion device go in. Maybe just some pressure as it slides in smoothly. It's a procedure that takes.

Stops ovulation: Implanon is an implantable contraceptive system that uses pellets implanted under the skin to deliver hormone that inhibits ovulation much like a pill or a shot would do.  It lasts much longer than oral and injectable methods making it more convenient for some.

Blood pressure: Implanon has various side effects. The following side effects are experienced by greater than 10% of the people on it:  Acne, Amenorrhea, breast pain, headache, leucorrhea, monorrhagia, oligomenoorrhea, phatyngitis, URI, vaginitis, weight gain.  HTN is not noted.

Yes: Implanon is an extremely effective form of birth control- possibly more so and definitely equivalent to a tubal ligation or vasectomy.  The side effects most commonly are irreg bleeding or spotting, acne is possible and then horone symptoms such as moods swings, headache, nausea and rarely wt gain ( although low risk for wt gain).  Tends to be very safe and if not tolerated- easy to remove.

Implant birth contrl: Implanon is birth control method manufactured by merck pharmaceuticals. It is a single rod implant that is inserted under the skin in the forearm. It is a Progesterone containing long acting contraceptive with a duration of action of 3 years.

Yes,: It's a rare, but known complication, and I would recommend having it removed before it moves somewhere more difficult to reach (and remove)

Interaction: I wouldn't foresee a marked interaction with a small amount of alcohol, but your pharmacist can answer your question best.

Most common: side effect of IMPLANON® is a change in normal menstrual bleeding pattern. It is not unusual to have shorter and/or lighter periods, or to skip period. Implanon is very safe for almost all women.  Other commonly reported side effects include: emotional lability/mood changes, headache, breast discomfort, and acne; however, more women reported improvement in acne than worsening.

discharge after taking fluconazole?

Other vaginitis: Fluconazole is an antifungal medication and thus only treats yeast/fungal infections. Bacterial vaginitis, trichomonas vaginitis, or chemical irritant cannot be treated by fluconazole. Urethral discharge such as gonorrhea can be a concern here as well.  I am not sure what type of discharge you are having and so can't tell what you may have. Consult doc. Good luck.
