Depends: If the slow heart rate is sinus bradycardia from, say being well conditioned there is little risk of any serious symptoms. If however, the heart rate is slow from a pathological condition one may experience, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, low blood pressure and other related symptoms.

Maybe: Carvedolol is a beta-blocker. This class of BP meds traditionally cause decreased heart rate and blood pressure. It is possible that you are feeling weak & tired because of the med and lowered blood pressure. You may get used to this, or you may be extra sensitive to this particular medicine. If you keep feeling tired & weak, you may need to lower the dose or change your medicine.

Possibly : Corticosteroids, including prednisolone, can have the side effect of bradycardia, or a slow heart beat. There are numerous other things that can cause bradycardia, and without knowing all of the details surrounding your son's care, it is difficult to place the cause of his slow heart beat on prednisolone.

Would not be answer: Many normal people have slow heart rates, and unless you developed a profound heart slowing, this would not cause problems with memory.  But if you fainted or had change in heart rhythm due to seizure activity, that might cause periods of amnesia.  If this is repetitive, best you get this assessed.

Need time: It takes 2 weeks for dose adjustments  stay with the current dose you will start to feel better and every time dose changes you will feel bad before you reach  your optimal dose.
