Yes: There is a condition called phantosmia where a person smells something that isn't there. Usually it is the smell of smoke but it can be anything. Sometimes it resolves with vigorous treatment of the associated  allergic nasal inflammation or allergic rhinitis.

Worthless: This won't help your acne. Start with topical benzoyl peroxide and/or a retinoic acid derivative. If you don't have a satisfactory result in two weeks, or if it's on your trunk or is severe, get with your physician who can add something that will work. Ignore everything you read online about acne, and if you need isotretinoin, go for it.

i used dettol soap on my face. it has caused it to dry out. also i have dark skin, and it has caused light patches around my cheeks and underneath my ?

Dettol soap on face : Dettol soap is not formulated for use on the face, although like you, a lot of people use it for facial cleansing. It may have caused inflammation and subsequent drying and post- inflammatory hypopigmentation. I would stop using the soap and opt for a milder facial cleanser appropriate for your skin type & skin concerns. Also use a moisturizer to help restore hydration to your skin. Add spf in am.

I'm not aware of any: Studies on point. The active ingredient in dettol, chloroxylenol (4-chloro, 3, 5 dimethylphenol), has been around a long time & has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. Being insoluble in water, dettol is instead alcohol/pine oil based, and is used as an antiseptic and a cleaner. Dermatitis & possibly inhalation toxicity have been reported.  At typical exposures, cancer seems highly unlikely.

: Dettol is not designed for internal use and should definitely not be used on the sensitive vaginal mucosa.  It will not cause cancer but may cause other problems, compromise the vagina's natural protections, and make you more susceptible to irritations, inflammation, and infections. Even douches specifically designed for the vagina tend to cause more problems than they solve

Unlikely: The main ingredient in this product is benzalconium chloride which is an antibacterial agent. Any person can have an individual sensitivity to a chemical and react with a skin rash or have it trigger respiratory irritation. It is a common agent used to prevent the spread of germs/infection.

: Both are potentially seriously harmful. They risk killing the healthy, normal bacteria your vagina needs and making you more susceptible to the wrong bacteria, including the condition called bacterial vaginosis. It also could increase your risk of STDs if and when you are sexually active. You also should not douche, which causes similar problems. The vagina needs no help to remain healthy.

: My suspicion would be the material would act as an irritant and cause the tissue to thicken to a coarse or leathery texture. If that is what you are comfortable doing it is your choice. The body does just fine if you leave these sites alone. I know of no link to cancer but also wouldn't expect anyone to fund the research to see if there were one.
