Unlikely: Bacteria do and dehydration by itself does not cause utis. Dehydration can predispose to utis, or prolong recovery,  because long intervals between urination give bacteria, which may have reached the bladder, longer time to multiply before being eliminated. Hydration helps with recovery from urinary infections and prostatitis.

Not as a rule: Though the types of bacteria that cause utis in women and prostatitis in men are similar, this is generally not possible.  However, some men will develop prostate infections related to stis like chlamydia or gonorrhea, and vice versa for women who might have urethral infections.  Safer sex practices and regular STI testing is always important.

Teen and prostatitis: In men,  poor emptying of the bladder is often due to an enlarged prostate, called benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH). Because BPH commonly develops as men age, bladder infections occur more frequently in men over the age of 50. A teenager should not be expected to have a large prostate. Other causes are multiple sex partners without using a condom, kidney stones, among others.

Examination: To determine where the infection is and what type, an office evaluation and clinical history are important. In addition, adjunctive testing such as urinalysis and blood tests are important.

Yes: By difficulty i mean urgency, frequency, leakage, or pain.Prostatitis will cause reduction in size and force of stream.

See below: Sometimes sexual activity in women will precipitate a bladder infection(honeymoon cystitis).  Incompletely emptying the bladder when voiding can lead to recurrent infections.  In many there is no recognized cause.  Lang term antibiotic prophylaxis is used in some patients with frequent recurrences.

Yes: Untreated UTI can spread to your ovaries and kidneys which are the neighboring organs.

Usually not: Trace leukocytes can be normal. However, if you are having symptoms your doctor needs to send the urine for a culture to make sure there is no infection. Have your urine retested and if it looks negative again ask for a urine culture to be done.

It : It sounds like you had a kidney infection with dehydration and severe hypokalemia (potassium of 2.9). Hydrochlorothiazide causes low potassium.  I am so sorry that this happened to you and would recommend that you follow up with the pharmacy.  It should be a learning experience for them as it sounds like a mistake was made.  Please follow up so that they are aware of this.

can amoxicillin cause dehydration and kidney infection or bladder infection or uti and constipation and stomach pain?

No: Amoxicillin may be given to a sick person that has or develops one or more of these issues but it does not cause them. Dehydration is caused by inadequate fluid intake. Infections are caused by germs. Constipation or stomach pain are vague symptoms with many possible causes but I put amoxicillin on the bottom of any such list.
