Diuretic: Perhaps you should spend some time reading about addictive substances like caffeine and figure out what they do.  Caffeine is a diuretic. It dehydrates you.

i find i feel dehydrated despite constantly drinkingwwater throughout the day. i avoid pop & having more than 1 coffee a day. should i be concerned?

Abnormal thirst: Can be caused by different causes.  Dehydration is just one cause.  It can be a hormone problem or even diabetes.  Consult your doctor.

i understand that one should stay well hydrated during a gout attack but i have also seen at many places that coffee is good for gout which can cause dehydration in excessive amount. so is coffee really good during gout or is it just a myth?

: If you already have gout, drinking coffee may help for reducing acute flare up. Coffee reduces production of uric acid while helping to improve its excretion. A 2007 study, caffeine was found to have varied effects. One should not change their coffee habits for reducing or curing gout. Use reliable methods- avoid meat, shellfish and beer. Avoid adding sugar and high fat dairy cream.

Drink more water: Caffeine can act as a diuretic. Drink more fluids daily especially if you are going to pee so often will help prevent dehydration. Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) of fluids for men is roughly 3L/day (about 13 cups) and for women is 2.2L/d (about 9 cups). You can also follow the 8x8 rule of 8 x 8oz cups/day as a minimum intake/day.

i though that if you have internal hemorrhoids, then you should not consume beverages that dehydrate your body such as coffee and alcohol?

Avoid constipation: Hemorrhoids are exacerbated by constipation and the "pushing" necessary.  Foods high in fat tend to constipate you.  Foods high in fiber favor looser stools.  Fruits vegetable, whole grains are excellent sources of fiber.  Also, fiber only works if u are well hydrated.  Caffeine and alcohol can increase urination so some people feel this is not as good as water, juice etc.

dipsesis is the medical term for excessive thirst. Conditions that cause extreme fluid loss and leave the body water-depleted trigger excessive thirst. Body water can be lost through excessive urination, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating and increased body temperature. A variety of conditions can cause a total body water deficit and excessive thirst. But the two primary ones are dehydration and diabetes.  Because you have provided an incomplete picture of your condition it is difficult to make a diagnosis.  For that reason it is recommended that you see your physician for and evaluation and possibly lab testing.

Need eval: Unremitting thirst coupled w frequent urination can be signs of Diabetes.  See your PCP for eval.

thigh muscle twitching after i ran 8 mi. only symptom. i was dehydrated, have too much caffeine (5+ cups strong coffee/day),  sleeping poorly. its been 5 days. after i fix these, how long til the spams are gone?

so a week before my last period i had a little bit of bladder leakage daily/never happened b4im a healthy weight, 26 hrs old/ am not a mother, but for years i only drink coffee daily am dehydrated regularly, is this oab, can it come that suddenly?

: I feel the incontinence caused by overactive bladder is accompanied by the urge to urinate&amp; frequency., Caffeine may be playing a role in your case without the urge. Bladder leakage without the urge is usually caused by weakness of the pelvic floor from previous childbirth which is not the case with you but perhaps hormonal changes around period time causes bladder outlet weakness.
